Thanks. I've watched that video but it's very vague.
As these new models are so new I'm sure it will take a bit of time until people start posting some reviews and vids on how they work.

Finally received my Brinsea Ovation 56 EX!! The day I ordered it, I called and Brinsea said it would go out within 2 days. I got an email 2 days later saying it wouldn't ship until the 19th. Argh! I ordered it thinking it would be here before my shipped eggs, but no such luck.
I made a quick video and posted to YouTube. Give it a look and let me know what y'all think. I'm going to let it run a couple days and test it out. Then, I might post more videos once I set eggs, if there's interest.

Have you set any eggs yet in your new Ovation? I got the Ovation 28 Adv - will be setting eggs March 3rd.
I am bookmarking this so I can watch your video when I get home. I would LOVE to have one of those

I actually had some set so I transferred them to the Ovation. I love it!! The auto humidity is great. Using this thing requires little attention. I don't babysit it nearly as much as I do my styrofoam bators.
The lid is heavy so I just slid a tray out when I candle. Makes me nervous because I don't want to break any. Just have to be careful. Another downside is, if the tray isn't full, the eggs will roll to their side. Not a big deal, but some of my shipped eggs must stay vertical. I have some fake eggs I can use as place holders so that's a fairly easy fix.
