Frostbite? Or something else?

Noticed my girl's comb looked like this today - worse on the other side, but was unable to get good pictures. I'm not sure how long it's been like that, been sick so today was the first time I personally was able to go see them. A week or so back we had 0 degree windchill - since it's only on her comb, which is the largest, is that what it could be?
Or some sort of illness? I wasn't sure, since it's not only the dark tips, but the odd sort of discoloration below it.
She seems to be acting normal, appetite is fine, energy is fine. Checking her crop in the morning to see if it's larger than usual since I noticed it late when it would be full anyhow.
(Note - her beak is not clipped, she chipped it)

Thats frostbite. It usually takes a week for it to show up.Frostbite can occur when there is a lack of ventilation or if its just really cold.I would just spray some Veterciyn on it so it doesn't get infected.Frostbite will usually will resolve by itself.

Thanks very much! I'm going into my third year of chicken keeping so still not an expert by any means and overly paranoid that I'll miss something haha. Circulation should be ok in the coop so it must have just been from the combination of subzero temps and high humidity we get here. I'll pick some up tomorrow and take care of it :) Appreciate it!

Yes I agree with MOC that it looks like frostbite. It may take a few weeks, but the points of the comb may round off. Don't massage the comb since it may be very painful. Vetericyn or plain neosporin are good to apply if you have one.
