Rooster beat up by his sons?

My rooster is pretty bad. I came home today and found him laying in the middle of the yard. All the other chickens were already roosting for the night. My 3 other roosters are his sons and are 9 months old. none of the other roosters have any signs of fighting or injury, but I can't tell what else would have injured him like that. Both his eyes are swollen shut and his head is all bloody and had puncher marks all over. He has some bloody mucus in his nose and mouth. He lifted his head up to me when he heard my voice and attempted to move but he is really weak. I'm brought him inside and immediately cleaned him gently with warm water and set him up in a box with towels near our wood stove(our only source of heat). I'm not sure what else to do.

Oh no!! The poor little guy. A similar incident happened to me and my roosters a couple months ago. It does look alot worse then it actually is, at least in my case it was. However, in my case both my roosters were pretty badly beat up but their eyes were not swollen.

Well, other than bringing him to a veterinarian (which would be considered the gold standard so to speak) you are doing everything you really can do. Besides from his injuries, the poor little guy is probably feeling mentally very sad, seeing as he was just severely beat up by his own sons (I hate how awful roosters are to each other ) Try to encourage him to drink and eat, and watch how much he drinks and eat. If he has a favorite treat, try giving him the favorite treat. Monitor him every hour or so to make sure there are no changes in his condition and to track whether he is eating or drinking. If he isn't you are going to have to use other methods of getting fluids into him. If you have electrolytes or probiotics, these would be beneficial for him as well right now.

As for the long term, if he recovers, whatever you do, do not put him back out together with the other roosters. They will kill him next time. You are going to have to permanently keep them separated. What I ended up doing with mine is I rotate them. So for one day one rooster goes out with the hens and the other stays locked up. Then the next day I switch them. However, seeing as you have more roosters, this may get tricky. You are going to have to probably build another enclosure :/

I keep checking in him and I tried to give him some water after he seemed to calm down but he wasn't interested. I tried again about an hour after that with a dropper and he still didn't want it. He's very weak and I think if he makes it through the night he'll be more up to it.

I would take him to a vet but the 24/7 vets near me said they don't treat birds. And it was already after hours for the one I know of . But in the morning I'll hopefully be able to take him

Roosters will make sub groups outta the flocks,especially subordinate roosters/cockerels.This type of stuff happens all the time.Just like male lions form groups and go and fight,roosters will do the same.

He needs cleans up,and I would put Hydrogen peroxide on his sores,or vetrcyne.

I understand your problem.My boys would fight so hard,that their throats became sore,faces bloody,it's horrible.

He made it through the night and we are at the vet. The vet thinks he'll make it, but he may have lost both his eyes. Is his quality of life going to be good with no eyes?
