Need help guys!! My chicken is suddenly lethargic. Her tail is drooping, her wings are down, she's sleepy. Just today I was holding her and she seemed OK but started acting like she wanted to lay an egg, which she did! Her crop NOW feels mushy, it was fine earlier. No bugs. Seems like she is not eating now but she did just drink water. Any suggestions????
Now I am wondering if it is Coccidiosis, but she is around 8 months.

Did her behavior improve any after she laid the egg? Or is she the same as before?

It could be anything. But I suspect Botulism toxin. Has this hen spent a lot of time recently on a soggy compost pile? Has she had access to spoiled and rotting food of any kind?

She could probably benefit by being put on an antibiotic, but you will need a vet to prescribe it. You can try treating her with Corid, but if it's something more serious, time is being lost that could make a difference in whether or not she recovers.
 
She laid the egg much earlier and she was worse later in the evening. I gave her some yogurt and apple cider vinegar in water for potential sour crop and she looks a little better but still lethargic. I also put a space heater in the room to keep her warm. I'm going to see how she is doing in the morning.

Also I meant to say she does sometimes eat her poop, I feel like more than my other chicken.
