Dumb question here I know but am at a loss

I have a sweet little English game hen that flys out of the run at will. It's ok because she has a way of getting away from my full sizes Roos. That's not the question but where she lays eggs is no ones guess have found several nest that have been abandoned since she started laying I did find one under my truck tire ( hadnt driven it in a week) I took her eggs and placed them in the nest box and placed her one night on the nest trying to get her to lay there but guess what. Now I have no idea where she is laying her eggs got damaged when the dogs attacked the coop. I'd love to get som biddies from her but can't find out just where she has hidden it this time. And help would be appreciated
 
That’s a problem. Hens instinctively like to keep their nests hidden and can be really sneaky about getting on and off a hidden nest like that. They don’t always lay at the same time of day, you have no idea when you should be watching them. If she sees you watching she may just not go to the nest anyway.

Can you put deer netting or bird netting over the run to keep her in? If so, I see two possibilities.

You can watch her and see when she starts pacing the fence and very obviously wants out to lay. When she looks desperate enough, let her out and try to track her to her nest. I won’t say it will be easy but maybe you can narrow down the area to search.

Leave her in until she is forced to lay in the coop or run, at least until you get your hatching eggs.

I imagine there is a GPS device you can out on her and track her, but I have no knowledge about what that would be. You’d not only need the GPS but would need to devise a harness to hold it.
 
No I wouldn't try doing that. it could harm her. Maybe you could keep your roos in a bachelor pen for awhile and put netting over your run so she can't fly out. Then see if she starts laying in the nest box.

How many roos do you have and how many hens? Do you need the roos for fertile eggs to hatch or sell? If not you probably don't need any roosters. They tend to be more trouble than they are worth.
 
I need the Roos to bring my flock back from the damage from the dogs the other week I lost about 30 birds and 3 Roos I want to get some bantams like her she is a pet of ours and hoping I can get a nice sitter for quail from her
