Problems with rabbits

Hello everyone I have a double issue with some rabbits of mine I have a white New Zealand doe next to a black New Zealand buck not sure if this is the problem but the doe is very aggressive she has always been this way but before she was in a hutch by herself so I put her next to my buck so she could have some company anyway I had no idea what to do so I put her in the cage with my buck for about 2 minutes because every time I actually was able to touch her she sat in the breeding position for a buck anyway so I put her in with him to see if she changed in attitude from the presence of a buck breeding her I haven't seen any difference as I did this today but when I did this I kept my hand in front of the buck so he wouldn't breed her but when I removed my hand I noticed he had a bloody penis idk how or when it happened I was there the whole time and his cage didn't have anything sharp in it I took a close look and saw only a little cut on the tip anyway is there anything I can do to help him? He won't be bred for awhile anyway so that's not an issue but will it be ok has anybody had a bloody penis in a rabbit buck? I had the same thing happen to my goat buck but they are obviously very different animals
 
He may have injured his penis on the cage, ruptured a blood vessel during his attempts to breed, or scratched it some other way. Something similar happened one of my Sable bucks during breeding, and he was fine after a a day or so of rest.

I second PD-Riverman: if the doe is really mean and isn't special for any reason (genetics, great physical features, scarcity of the breed in your area, etc.), I would probably cull her.

Could you elaborate on how your doe is aggressive - for example, has she bitten or kicked you or attempted to?

I haven't yet had a buck with a penis injury (knock on wood!), but I monitor breeding attempts very carefully to ensure that they don't escalate - a castrated buck isn't going to do much for my breeding program.

If you have some Vetericyn on hand, you could spray it on the wound to help with healing, but it should heal on its own (just keep an eye on it, of course).
 
Sorry I haven't replied to anyone I've been busy as for the bucks injury he us doing much better it hasn't healed all the way but it's better and the doe is a new zealand white doe not sure if I mentioned that she bites from time to time but mostly claws me when I put my hand in the cage I would cull her but she is only mean to me and she is mostly my mother's rabbit
