My chickens keep dying

Oh, that's terrible! I'm so glad you went in and got it checked out, though.  Are the rest of them okay?  I lost a bird to a tiny little bit of a metal snip months after we built our run so I know how devastating that is!

Um, you can erase what I thought before!

The remaining birds are at the vet and getting antibiotics and a shot to help them digest the few screws they have in them. The vet said so long as nothing gets perforated they should pull through.

Thank you so much for keeping us updated! Not only are we concerned with how your chickens are doing...I'm sure there are many members who also appreciate the information you've provided to us.

I'm very glad to hear the prognosis sounds good!

We had a large shed built to replace the previous one that was damaged by fire. We had to buy a huge shop magnet on wheels to pick up the mess that the building guys left behind. (Oh yes...it will be different IF there's a next time)

In some places it was impossible to get everywhere but we picked everything up we could find. There's also been landscaping now. But it was on such a huge scale that something could have been missed. I didn't have chickens then. This certainly makes me think.
