Wow. You are indeed a hatchaholic lol. My ducks aren't laying, so no new quackers til spring. Surface area is the key, so make sure the towel is opened up wide. Add more I would guess. I'm if there's a way to tack some up on the side.it's hard to keep them wet when they're spread thin but if you put one end in the water, it will act like a wick.
yeah I definately am. thanks for the info. I poured water on the lower tray and it spread out but is too shallow to hold much and only brought it up to 45% for a short time. will be shutting it down for the winter in a couple weeks.

Don't know, but I may qualify as a hatchaholic....

My name is Matt and I have a problem...

Every time I build a cage I hatch more quail..... I mean everytime I hatch more quail I build a cage..... I mean... I have a hundred and fifty quail in my house.... and I NEED MORE CAGES..... SO I CAN HATCH MORE QUAIL!!!

@mdees Matt! You are definitely a hatchaholic! Admitting it is the first step. I think the second step is... more quail! Honestly, all we did on this thread was enable each other. Those are absolutely adorable quail, and the eggs are so pretty!

I just pulled out my incubator after a year, and I found note in it: "I will put this incubator away. I will put this incubator away. I will..."

I tore up the note and put some eggs in. ;)
