I have a Dutch Bantam hen who is about 4 1/2 months old. Recently she was limping and is holding her leg up and wont put any pressure on it. I checked it out and the leg she babies is significantly thinner than the other one. She lays rolled to the side with that leg kicked out. I'm worried about her because she struggles to walk and more or less falls to her food and water. Anyone have any ideas?????

You should probably remove her from the main pen and put her in a let carrier with some food and water in the house or garage. Let her get some good rest and see how shes doing in 3-4 days.

I agree. Try putting some electrolytes in her water, as this will give her some energy and might help her to feel better. You may want to think about making a splint for her leg. There's tons of info on splints if you just type "leg splint" in the search bar. Best of luck!
 
I've had her separated for a week now. She hasn't recovered, but her leg seems fine but her toes are a little wonky (maybe broken foot?) but she tries to put her foot down but she just shakes really bad and falls over. Other than that she perfectly healthy. I have her on regular feed and water with electrolytes already, along with pain killer which seemed to help a little and fruits and vegetables to help with vitamins. I tried splinting her leg in the beginning but she just refused to walk at all.

It's possible that she broke her foot.....I'm not really sure how you cure this for a chicken though besides rest. It sounds like you are doing a great job with her so far, so continue doing what you are doing. I will do some researching for you on different cures for broken feet, and I will get back to you! :)

What I still don't understand is why one leg is thinner than the other.
