HELP MY SILKIE!?

ok so my silkie, twix, has been very skinny lately... but today she seemed to be a little better (also any tips to help her gain weight would be appreciated!) I had her in a stall in the barn so she could have all the food she wanted without getting bossed around by the other hens, but sense she was looking a little bit better i decided to let her out (plus, it was sunny).... but she managed to squeezed her tiny body out of the pen! Daisy, the one who rounds up the chickens when needed, had Twix pinned down outside of the pen. Daisy is usually gentle with smaller hens (she super gentle with chicks) but when i got outside and down to the barn (i saw them from the window, then i ran out) Twix was all wet (saliva or snow?) there were no scratches that i could see, but when i looked at her rear,something was strange... there was a red blob near her vent? (not sure if that's what you call it... the place where she would lay an egg from!) it was shiney and just looked like red blob (it looked like it was "breathing"??????) any what it is??? right now shes just shocked/ freaked out and all wet.. shes in the stall now with her sister (i say sister because they were in the same bucket at the feed store and there both buffs, but i'm not a 100% sure) what should i do!?!? how do i get her back to being fluffy and a good weight? and what is the red blob!?! i'll see if i can get pictures later.

It sounds like Twix has a prolapsed vent. That's where the inside of the vent collapses and hangs out. It is often caused by straining to lay an egg that wants to be stubborn and not come out.

You can help Twix by giving her a nice relaxing soak in a warm Epsom salt bath. You'll need to sit there and hold her in the basin for a good fifteen minutes.

Take her out and pat dry her feathers with a towel warmed in the dryer. You can blow dry her, too. Chickens like that. It will further relax her. Smooth some Preparation H (hemorrhoid cream) on the prolapsed vent. After the tissue begins to shrink, you can gently guide it back inside.

Place her in a warm crate by herself in a dim place, not bright. She needs limited light to discourage egg laying until the tissue returns to normal. This has a likelihood of recurring so you need to keep an eye on her.

Keep her separate from all the others until the vent returns to normal. It's too big of a temptation for another chicken who may peck at it and severely injure Twix.

ok twix is fine, but now its seems Jade has a collapsed vent??? (i know it was twix earlier, i didn't mix them up) its literally hanging out.
so just follow the steps you told me to do for twix? i don't know cause its literally hanging out of her rear! i made the stall as dim as possible. what happens if it brakes off?
will it go back in? should i keep her by herself without her sister? (her sister never really hurt her, but i wouldn't want to risk it) will the soaking shrink it? will i have to help put it back in...??

i only have preperation H wipes.. will that still work? idk what i'd do with it

Do you have coconut oil? It's a great natural first aid.

After soaking and relaxing your hen, apply the coconut oil or wipe gently with the Prep H wipe. Then gently guide the mass back into the vent by putting light pressure on the outside part first. It will want to go back in so you are just giving it a little friendly shove. No, it won't break off, but be careful not to perforate it. Use surgical gloves if you have them. If you have long finger nails, get someone with short nails to do this or cut yours to a sensible length.

You really should consider putting together a first aid kit for your flock. There's an excellent "Topic of the Week" thread on it on this forum. It should include Preparation H ointment, gloves, etc.

I got it out yesterday (no need to worry my nails are already plenty short) after I had her up I realized it was an EGG stuck in her, so I gently removed the skin around it and pulled it out, (first time I did that, felt like a vet Lol)

She's in the stall, I put a tarp over the window so it should discourage her from laying, I'll leave her in there for a couple of days.
Now she has really bad diarrhea from, I guess, the bound egg. I just gave her a bit AVC in her water. If there's anything else I can do to help her please let me know. Her and her sister will both be turning 1 year march 16 (yes, I wrote down there birthdays)
This summer I was thinking of cleaning out the old goat first aid kit and turning it into a chicken first aid kit but again anything to help with her poopy but will be appreciated!

The runny poop should correct itself after she gets back to her normal routine and diet. But monitor her for lethargy.She should bounce back pretty fast now that you've relieved her of her burden.

Still has poop on bottom

She also looks like she's holding her tail feathers high. She's shaking her tail a little more then normal, Doesn't seem lethargic though. Walks fine, Makes a humming/goweling noise a lot, Her poop looks like tiny cat poop, long, in the shape of a snake (you get the picture lol)she seems to try and clean her bottom (which is good I guess)
