Thinking About some Parakeets need help

Hey! I know this might be a waaay late response, but I have some advice.

First off, your cage looks great!! I've been raising budgies (or parakeets) for a while now, and they LOVE to climb! Mine even prefer climbing over flying!

Next, I would prefer you get your budgies from a local breeder instead just because if you get them from a breeder, they will most likely be younger and easier to tame. There are quite a few other reasons, but its all on you on where you want to get them. Now, you will have to do a little extra digging to find a breeder, but once you get those little guys, it'll all be worth it.

I just would recommend NOT getting a nest box if you get a girl and a boy because then they might start to lay, and it takes a HUGE toll on the females which doesn't allow them to live as long.

Just know that if you get parakeets, they can live for up to 10 years or more! They aren't much of a problem if you take care of them well. In fact, they make a great addition to your house with their friendly tweets and happy songs! Good luck!

So 2 parakeets would be best, unless you can devote lots of time and attention to it. They are very social. Don't get a mirror for it as I have read that it can lead to physiological issues. Just give them lots of attention and love. I am sure you are going to really enjoy them.
