Hi I have two 4 week old pekin ducklings. I have two questions, first, is it time for them to go outside? And second, one of them is honking like every other second, is this normal? Oh! And also if it is time for them to go out then what are the outside requirements to keep them safe and comfortable outside? Thanks!
 
What are your temperatures like?
You dont want to shock them by putting them in too cold too fast. But typically yes by 4 weeks they can certainly be outside. If they havent been outside at all i would do it in the morning on a day off so you can spend time with them.
They will need a coop, which can be like a dog house type structure, with good ventilation, and a locking door so you can close them up at night time. And nothing can break in. Ventilation is very important
And a secure yard to be in.
The honking noise sounds like probably a female- girl ducks are the only ones that make a loud quack- and when their voices are changing it sounds very honky.
My 2 and 3 week old ducklings are starting to sound honky too.
If your other one is much quiter you may have one girl and one boy.

Ducks can handle much much cooler temps than chicks can.
By the time my ducklings last spring were 3 weeks they were too hot in my house. And when they went out with heat they didnt even stay by the heat.
Ducks im the wild are out running around and swimming in the cold water in the first couple days. They warm up with their mom for a bit and then out following her arouns again. They are far more active as well if they arent too hot.
I have 3 week old khakis and 2 week old runners, and they are brooded in the coop. And one side has two heat lamps- and is bout 70 around the edges last night. They are staying around those edges. And have their feet kicked out so they are warm. I will slowly start raising the heat this week, and prob have it off completely by next weekend.

As long as they are out of the wind and elements...Ducklings can handle cooler temps.....Straw down to huddle in and they will be fine at that age to be outside....Asafe place to sleep at night and they will do great....
