Protecting existing flock from baby chicks, is quarantine needed?

Hi all, I know there are a lot of posts on integrating and protecting existing flocks from adult chickens, and brooding chicks alongside existing flocks but I couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for. Basically I'm wondering what do I need to do (if anything) to protect my existing flock from possible disease or infection from baby chicks.

It might sound silly but I just want to be absolutely sure since I only have one hen left from my initial flock (due to a bad raccoon attack) and has since become the ultimate lap chicken, following me around wherever I go.

I brought home baby chicks yesterday fully intending for her to have new friends in a few weeks. However these chicks came from a different feed store (and hatchery) than my existing flock and I wasn't sure if an absolute quarantine was needed. I was about to throw the bedding from their travels into my compost pile but my last hen has access to it, and I don't want her to get sick from the chick bedding.

What has been everyone else's experience? Am I just being paranoid?

As long as your chicks came from an NPIP certified hatchery, there is little or no danger to your flock by being exposed to them. Therefore, generally, folks dispense with quarantine practices when introducing these chicks to their flocks.
