I've had 5 new adult chickens since Saturday. When can I let them out of the chicken run so they can free roam. Will they know where to come back to?

I'd give them a week, maybe two if you have enough room for them to be contained that long. If you have a run attached to your run, you can let them out into the run at any time.

I just got 2 new hens, and I let them and the rest of the flock get to know each other. I then let them out to free range after about a day or so. Make sure they are tame-or tame enough- to catch if at all needed. when the other chickens go inside to sleep, usually the new ones follow. You can always lure them with treats.

Ditto Dat^^^

The first time you let them range, might be a good idea to do it just an hour or so before roost time.
They won't go too far and will 'test' that they know how to go back into the coop to roost.
Let them out earlier each day as you see fit.

Oh, and, Welcome to BYC!

I let mine out pretty early but I also teach them to come when called first. Make up whatever "call" you want. Feed them treats while yelling it and you'll have them trained in no time. Takes me about 2 calls before they learn to run to me. Makes it super easy to get them in at night.
