So my inside duck woke up this morning breathing differently. I checked out her nose and she seems to have a boogie clogged nostril... I'm not sure if there is any way I can clean it out? I know they have those sucker things for baby noses but I don't want to scare her if it'll just be fine on it's own.... advise appreciated :)

Can she clean out her nares with a deep enough bowl of warm water? that may help. You can also get some VetRX and use that to help her breathe it's kinda of like vicks but for poultry. and natural too.

As Miss Lydia said...You need her to be able to dunk her head many times during the day to keep her nares/nostrils clear......

Best of luck...

Cheers!
Very true but they can get upper respiratory infections. So keep a close eye on her. Also if your running heat still that dries out the air and can cause things like this. I am actually having this myself. plus all the pollen that is around right now. Lots of reasons for stuffy nares. But a good head washing container might be the answer. You can even put some ACV into the water 1 Tab to 1 gal. It's also a good tonic for our babies.

I she has a big deep bowl and was trying to but it wasn't helping so instead of letting her in her kiddie pool I put her in a bath tub full of warm water. She loved it, went right to sleep floating in it while I was getting ready. That seemed to help clear her nose.
