Hello.

I hatched two sebastopol geese last week.

One hatched on wednesday just fine, no problems. She is eating everything in sight and screaming for attention most of the day.

The little boy, he had a hard time. He pipped internally but was unable to come out after nearly 60 hours. So I helped him out. He got overly excited and pushed out of the egg too soon, and there was some blood loss. He was weak and we thought he was a goner. The next day he was comatose mostly, on his back and unable to right himself. But at the end of the day, he started kicking and trying to get upright. We started with vitamins and sugar water, and by the next morning he was holding his head up. That evening he was able to walk and stand up.

Its been several days, and I am till giving him vitamins and sugar water, he will drink the sugar water on his own. But he hasn't grown much, and although he is pecking at everything and seems interested in eating, he doesn't seem to swallow anything. He is still a bit wobbly.

Most troubling is his feet, they are not the right color, they are a kinda greyish brown and so is his beak.

Any suggestions? I live in South America and have limited access to things, we are using dog and cat liquid vitamins, and I will try to get some brewers yeast tomorrow when I go to town.

Anyone? I googled it and couldn't find anything. He seems to be stronger, eating better, and running around. Less wobbly. But still grey.
