Has been sleepy for a couple days, did eat 2 days ago, now eyes closed and laying on side, she looks to be in pain. Flails around a bit flapping her wings. Laying on her side. Feels thin. Pasty butt, thin, no sour croup smell, no visible wounds, feels like a lot of fluid in lower abdominal area under tail. Checked for egg bound -- no egg.

PLEASE HELP.

2 years old hen has always been healthy.

Can you take her to a vet?

Try your best to get her hydrated, offering some poultry vitamins or electrolytes.

Swelling/fluid in the lower abdomen is usually an indication of an internal laying/reproductive disorder like Egg Yolk Peritonitis, Ascites, cancer, tumors or Salpingitis. Usually there is no real course of treatment but supportive care. If fluid has built of sometimes it can be drained to give short term relief.

Since she seems to be in pain, is pale, lost weight, etc. from your description she is suffering. If she doesn't make a turn around, then you may want to consider culling her.
