Hello. i am getting a batch of 30 meaties on Tuesday , but i cant get the brooder to stay at the right temperature. help!

Is your brooder in a room with stable temperatures?? If it's in a garage or basement or ???? the temperatures can vary alot through the day and a heat lamp cannot keep up with it.

Hi and welcome to BYC. One thing I would say is that only directly under the heat source does the temperatures need to be a cause for concern. The temperature elsewhere in the brooder should be ambient temperature.

Sorry that I have no brooder experience, just hatches under a broody hen. However, as you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.
