This weekend is frigid, so we kept our girls inside the house overnight last night, just for peace of mind.
This morning, Août woke us up bright and early needing to lay, but wouldn’t sit in the impromptu nest box. It was only after I brought the leader bird, Juillet, over to give it her cluck of approval, that Août finally settled in and stopped screaming. Silly girls. She laid a lovely pointy egg just five minutes later.
