when will my call duck lay eggs

i just got a call duck and i was wondering when she will start laying and also what type of environment she needs to lay eggs
I have 5 call ducks, two hens three Drake's. My hens just started laying in the middle of winter. They are almost 7 months old and have layed an egg a day for 2 weeks now. I don't really know if it is normal for them to be laying now but they are. I live in Wisconsin so it is very cold and snowy.

Some of mine do that too.

I know this is 11 years late 😂 but id figure id throw it in here just so anyone who needs it can know. Call ducks generally lay eggs from march to September. Throughout all the years if me having calls ive noticed that in the spring usually calls split into groups depending on age/how long they’ve known each other, etc. the older groups usually lay more eggs. Not because of a pecking order (ducks dont have one) but because older drakes generally are more sexually agressive towards younger hens witch stresses them out and slows down or even stops their laying. My snowy hen was getting the worst of it so bad i had to separate her over a month ago and she still hasn’t started laying again even though she has all the right conditions. Calls usually start laying at 4 months old if conditions are right. (Trust me ive raised more than enough to know 😂) if your hen is older than 6 months old, has good nesting conditions, and isn’t too stressed, then she should be laying between march and September. Calls lay differently than chickens and laying ducks though. They’re laying patterns resemble wild mallards more than pekins e.g. they usually make a nest where they feel comfortable and lay not much more than a dozen eggs in it before sitting but if you take eggs she usually finds a new place to lay unless she doesn’t have a choice. Once they get broody it takes a good bit for them to start laying again. Since all calls are one breed, color patterns shouldn’t effect laying patterns. Thats all up to her natural instincts and what she thinks. I probably should’ve led with this but calls prefer to lay outside of a coop or house. It took me 3 years to get mine to lay inside and ive lost multiple hens to them making a nest outside that I couldn’t find and they got eaten 😭 if it doesn’t look like they’re interested in laying inside try looking to see of they disappear for a bit each day. Usually the dad of those eggs and any of his close friends will keep watch while she lays and hang out near her nest while she broods. Again i know this is 11 years late but i hope it can help someone 😊
