How much do you handle your chicks?

Don't worry, they'll get used to you! I have three 5 weekers and one of them still isn't used to me, but the rest are fine with me picking them up and sometimes even cuddle down! Just handle them a lot!
 
I try to handle all of them at least once during the day. They peep very loudly and run to other side of brooder when they see my hand coming in-even if just changing water, cleaning, adding food or adjusting lamp after checking thermometer. I'm so sad as all the breeds are very docile and friendly chicks.
 
Today my chicks turned 3 weeks old and I've always handled them frequently throughout the day. A little less in the first week of course, as not to cause them too much stress. But now when I walk up to the brooder, at least 1 makes it a point to immediately fly out of the brooder and on to my lap. 2 others do the same, but don't always jump onto my lap, they just sit on the edge of the brooder and hang out near me.
Being a first time chicky momma, I was worried that maybe I was handling them too much. Now I see that they enjoy my company as much as I enjoy theirs.
