:)Hello there BYC comrades. My name is Tyler Cleveland. I am 17 years old and I live in Cumming, Georgia. Me and my friend Caleb, are going to launch a small-scale chicken hatchery operation within the next month. We are about to purchase a medium sized Dickey incubator which holds 375 eggs plus our three styromfoam incubators. We will hatch from 6 brood pens, which will have 6-8 hens with one rooster. The breeds are spangled game, reds, buffs, giant cochins, silver phoenix, and speckled sussex. We have sufficient brood box space and brood pen space, however we are lacking in a couple of hens and roosters. We are also looking for advice on other equipment that will make our opertation successful. I wanted to come here and ask for your ideas and support. WE are doing this because we won't to stand out in Georgia for FFA and for the smale scale poultry operations around Georgia and around the Southeast.

PLEASE give me all the feedback that you have.

Thankyou so much,

Good luck on your hatchery. Have you looked into getting NPIP certification you will need that. It would be great to have a hatchery close by I usually don't order from hatcheries because of the distance and shipping time.

i know you have a hatchery but do you have any sexually mature giant cochin hens? i am trying to find one and not having any luck:/

Good luck with your hatchery!

I live in Alpharetta, just inside the Forsyth County line. I would be interested in purchasing some chicks from you sometime.

Let me know when you have availability

Go luck! I wish I had room to support you but at this time I am at my limit with about 300 chicks and chickens.
I will keep you in mind for the future though!
