using banner material in coop

Does anyone know if banner material is safe to use inside a coop?
I worried if the chickens will peck at it. Most banner material is quite strong. I was gonna put it on the floor as easy cleaning because I have access to that material instead of linoleum.
 
Sounds like a good idea to me. I assume you are using it as a cover for the plywood or whatever is your floor, and then you'll have shavings on top? That is what I would envision would work best. Banners are like canvas-ish shower curtain kind of material as I am thinking, so the washability should be decent as long as the shavings are in there.
