Well, as I have posted recently in the past two weeks we now have these two ducks. My hubby didn't want to keep them in the first place and I was ok with just watching them for a while. Now since the original owner has said "nope they're not my ducks anymore" we are debating on what to do with them. I am all for keeping them. I finaly have them running to eat there treats out of our hands. I have told him that the eggs are going to be very good and we will probably like them hopeing at least one is a female. He was suggesting letting them go in a large pond. This pond actualy is the size of a small lake and it is 30 miles away from us. I am trying to come up with some good evidence that would prove this isn't a good idea.
If we let them go will they try to find there way back? Will they ever be happy somewhere else? Will that instinct that wild ducks have ever kick in? Anyone have some good info on this kind of thing?
I know that they can fall prey to aquatic turtles, coyotes, bobcats, hunters, ect.
