So I guess this is why it is called duck tape, the mystery has been solved.

Angelwing cure. You wrap the duck so the "wrist" bones grow in the correct position. Most people just use vet wrap though

The tip of the wing was sticking straight out at it's side. So you have to wrap it for a week to train the muscle to stay.
 
It is a bandage with duct tape over it to keep it from getting wet and dirty. You know how ducks are....
 
right, but out in the sticks around here it is called duck tape.
