Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

LMAO I would totally do the layer with the whole grains but the chick starter NO WAY!

Survival experts say that during hikes, you should take dog food with you. You won't eat it unless absolutely in an emergency, unlike jerky and such that you might eat out of boredom... I think I could eat chicken feed long before dog food. Afterall, I have probably eaten at least a few servings already just standing around and them slopping it in my mouth!

Okay, please don't mind the quality of the pics, it's an IPod, with a bright light shining down on the chicks. This was their trip from the incubator to the brooder...

And this beautiful chick's named in honor of the lady who put this BLRW idea in my head in the first place, and coached me through this tricky hatch.
Everyone, meet the first chick to hatch SALLY SUNSHINE!! My 3 yr. old sounds pretty darn cute saying it too! Thanks Sally!

It was pretty shameful, really. There were 17 of them in a Little Giant. I think that's about the max. I was waiting for DH to build me another box to transplant some older chicks out of the brooder. He finally did it last night! LOL!

I am curious about that too! I've never been to an actual poultry show, but I heard that some judge the runners in a ring. I don't know how mine would "stand up" (hehe!) against show ducks though, so I want to go check out the competition first!!!
First thing Saturday, I plan to be there!!!

Special note: Runner ducks will be judged in a ring and must be banded. Exhibitors of Runners must be present first thing Saturday morning when they will be judged.
