I have an incubator full of ducks talking to me...

...wait till hubby hears them,,,I just kicked a batch outside yesterday,,,couldn't stand them anymore, they had to go to outside brooders...
 
Downsizing question:
Current flock:
2 rhode island red - young/not laying
2 cochin - young/not laying
1 leghorn - young/not laying
1 silver laved wyandotte - laying
2 orpington - young/not laying
4 bantams - laying speraticaly
1 bantam - brooding 6 eggs
9 quail
2 mallards - male (for sale)
3 ancona ducks (hoping 2 will be laying soon)
2 red bourbon turkeys - young/not laying
2 baby ancona ducks
3 baby cayuga ducks
1 baby pekin duck
5 baby (might be) muscovy ducks

May plan is to keep:
1 rhode island red - young/not laying
1 cochin - young/not laying
1 leghorn - young/not laying
1 silver laved wyandotte - laying
2 orpington - young/not laying
1 bantam - brooding 6 eggs
9 quail
3 ancona ducks (hoping 2 will be laying soon)
2 red bourbon turkeys - young/not laying
2 baby ancona ducks
3 baby cayuga ducks

Any other suggestions? I want to downsize a little, so I have room this summer in case if find other birds that are on "my list". I am trying not to expand any more than I already have.

What is you goal? Other than the limits? Like i have chickens for eggs and some to show. Others just cuz i like them.
 
I have a broody!!! I also found out my cross beak is laying. Poor thing was going to be culled soon! I am tired of keeping after her beak and helping her stay clean(ish). I figured she wasn't laying, and never would. Having the Ameraucana on sick leave proved that Cadbury was laying!

I don't mind keeping up with her if she will give me my blue eggs.

I hope that doesn't sound mean.
So 26 eggs in the incubator, and five under a broody. 37 chickens running around, and BO coming soon. I only wanted 30 max.
I'd say I have a problem, but it is so much fun!!
