Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Sorry to blow up the thread, my 'multi-quote' is not working for some reason.

Brittany, it took 4 days and she was right as rain! I really didn't think it was working at first and thought I'd need a necropsy, she was lying on her side with her neck stretched out, then, suddenly, on day 3 she was acting normal. Not sure if I'd mentioned earlier, but I also had her in a dog crate inside...so isolated from the flock and warm.
I am sorry to hear about peach! 11 is a good age for dane! I am sure you and your family gave her a great life!!

And i brought her in this morning....she was all stretched out like you said.... i am worried...and shes skinny.. i am a bad mom i should have brought her in sooner.. :(

Stake, Thank you. The other dogs are really struggling, took the Bell with me to Hamburg yesterday for the goat breeding, so she wasn't at home all lonely, she was Panting the WHOLE time from being too hot, I should have put her the truck bed in the crate with Lily… Jack keeps looking for her, really breaks my heart wide open when he stands where Peach used to lay and then looks at me like, 'well? where IS she?'

Brittany, you're doing your best! I should have mentioned getting her warm the first time I responded. It really was 36 hours from the first dose of vitamins before our pullet improved, she really did get worse ON the vitamins before turning it around. She was starting to recover on day 3 and the evening of day 4, she went back out to the coop (at night when they were roosting) and now I can't figure out which one she was…

Kids have a 2 hour delay here…had to cancel my appts for this morning. I'm driving a different car as mine is still recovering from the deer incident…and I'm a bit gun shy. I'm was taking my time driving the darling teenager to the bus stop down the ski slope we call a road and he says to me, 'yeah, yeah….little less talking, little more driving'. How DO teens make it to adulthood…?

Last, but most certainly not least…Our Sweet Peach, never too old or weak to rip the trash apart…

A walk with kisses from the Bell

She left us last Monday, and I feel certain that Heaven got another angel… as Michelle says, she was 'a grand old dame'.

Awwww she was a beautiful old girl. You can tell she must have been well loved and happy. I swear sometimes these old girls ARE actually living on love alone in their later years. My Mom's got a Dobie named Sadie, we rescued her from my well meaning but ill equipped brother two years. She was on death's door when he brought her to my Mom at 12 yrs old 2 Christmases ago. And now she is fat and happy and runs around like a puppy. I swear she actually did die and came back on love and she's going to live forever now. I dunno, 14 is old for a Dobie I know. 11 is miraculous for a Dane. Such a lovely old girl. I am so sorry for your loss but now she's running again with the Angels I'm sure and getting into God's kitchen trash can in Heaven <3
