Good Morning all..
Have some pics to share also.
We have finally "finished" enclosing the lrg coop!!...there is still more work to be done, but the bulk of the work is accomplished.
A bookcase given to me from Motorcycle chick has been converted into nest boxes..have made some roots from materials we have around..for now-they are temporary..we will be working on more permanent structures..when we have recovered from this endeavor....
I have taken pictures of each step throughout the process..not going to over this thread with them, i will be making an "album" later to document all of this, so much has been learned from every improvement/adjustment we make having these animals...truly is an expanding experience!
This coop "construction" was done with free/reclaimed/repurposed materials...we have only purchased (4-5) 2x4's to build the front wall..the windows were purchased at auction from my mother.
It has approx. a year & 1/2 to get it to this point. Next warm season we will be either painting or (if we can find the materials-free), siding the coop.
*Before the removal of the small coop & beginning of the construction....
converted bookshelf into nest boxes...the little bits in the sand are herbs.
Their view from inside..
Chick-a-dee checking things out..
Now...how many birds do you think could comfortably live in there?!@?!...hahaha.....so much room!!!
The run adjustments are next!! ....higher fencing & roof..., it will never end will it?!
