Welcome!

Maybe we are supposed to guess?

How about "My Life With the Crazy Chicken Lady" ?

Couldn't most of iulin husbands write a book like that?

Hi there! We are hoping to get our first chicks this Spring. My plans are for Australorps, RIRs, and Barred Rocks. In Oct of last year, we moved to a 12 acre farm that had sat empty for nearly 3 years, so there are many repairs to be made, but still lots of land to work with. There is a chicken house that is original to the farm circa late 1800s that is remarkably in good shape. I suspect it was well maintained up until the last owners left. We plan on updating that and adding a large run.

I am trying to arrange some dorkings, (don't even know what colors might be available)...if I find them would you want some???

Hi! Getting ready for my first Flock. Does anyone know of good breeders around harrisburg/lancaster/york area? I've got my heart set on a barred rock, an EE, a golden laced wyandotte and a frizzle cochin.

Pickeringvalleyfeed.com has a chick arrival schedule online rite now arrivals starting in feb they will have what your looking for. They are located in Lionville. pa. On rt113

See if you feel that way when you are surrounded by 73 chickens, 8 ducks, and a goat with only a coop built for ten. :-D

Haha, I don't think we'll have too much of a problem with that...the chicken house (red shed) would hold about 40 on its own, then there is the coop attached to the barn which has 17 nesting boxes in it....the barn has 7 stalls....I think we're good, lol.

Looks like a great way to start.

It's good you said you think you're good. People here will try to talk you in to goats rabbits emu turkey quail. Just to help you fill that empty space, lol.
