I did some research about this and the USDA does not recommend you eat the eggs if they come out runny.
Technique? I never break eggs when I fry them. My daughter was breaking yolks by dropping the eggs too far before they hit the pan.

Hi everyone! I hope it's ok to post under this thread, it looks like most of you are from PA.
I'm originally from Philadelphia, but moved away for a bit. My family and I are headed back to the Philly area this fall. I'm looking for information as to where we should look to settle down as we have four hens we are wanting to take with us! We were thinking outside the city. Our kids enjoy 4H and would be devastated to find new homes for their girls!

I can't say where to settle down for sure, but central Pennsylvania is ideal in my opinion. It seems our real estate is reasonably priced, we need more BYC members here too.

I agree with @MotorcycleChick, central PA is an ideal area to search. There's a farm right around the corner from us for sale
I know another reason to pick central PA. Our weather. We don't get the serious storms like other places.
Hey @Auroradream26! Two of your Muscovy eggs are hatching!!
I will have customers wanting chicks all summer and into early fall. I heard the other day that TSC is getting more chicks in for July, so the season is far from over, just slowing down. I will only be hatching chicks to sell every other week, but some of the breeds like bantam Lavender Ams and Silkied Ams, I will continue to hatch as many as I can.Are you still hatching? Interest in chicks was booming here for a while but I'm so glad I stopped hatching when I did. It seems like everyone has gotten their chick fill now. I made a heck of a deal with a lady to get rid of the last of my CCL chicks. (That I wasn't keeping anyway.)
I decided to raise up some for myself from this roo that I got last year. I wasn't sure how his babies would look but I've been pleasantly surprised with the couple that I already kept. Crests need some work since he really doesn't have one but he's bringing a smaller and straighter comb to his daughters that I'm really liking
I still have a few pretty large hatches coming up. I will be flooding the market for Legbars and Black Sexlinks.
Last I heard the Brabanters are due mid to late June.
