to the thread! How many chickens do you have?

I have 27 new chicks.. Yippeee.  Three more in the bator that have not pipped.   Mostly MFL but I also have a few Double Laced Blue Barnies a couple OE/DLBB, and drum roll!. .......   Don't laugh!!!!  (CLX CP olive eggers) X Crele Polish).   ;)  I couldn't help myself.    The OE X Polish are soo cute - they have beards but no crests.... yet.  I expect the crests to come in with the adult feathers at 3-4 weeks.   I will take some pictures.  I hope they lay olive eggs like their mommies.

I would like to see pictures of the or x polish.... Sounds interesting LOL I love booth breeds .

Here is a story that can make us all smile and feel extra good about our chicken obsession...;)  My friend from another thread posted it and I wanted to share it with you guys.  (Sorry if you've seen it before)

Great story.. I think I will show this story to my family. Maybe they will let me bring a Chicken inside to sleep

Everyone's so nice! I have five chickens - I ordered the 15 chick, brown egg-laying variety pack from MyPetChicken last year. A raccoon got to nine of them in one night about 1 week in, and a neighbor's cat got to the 6th one about 2 months in...the cat attack left Phineas blind in one eye too. These five are the survivors.... These are the breeds...I think....
Angel - delaware (in the foreground)
Phineas - dominique (In the bamboo)...her beak is crooked too :/
Pickles - RIR
Chipmunk, and WonderTwin (the two brown ones, left and right, respectively)....I have no idea what breed they are....

If you guys are curious, I have a chicken cam in the coop...but they free range in the day, but there is IR at night:
