Just found one of my ducks with a broken toe. Does anyone know what I should do? It's broken midtoe. The skin doesn't seem to be open very much, yet.

I would just clean it and put him on clean shavings for a week. Not much you can do for a toe.

Clean it, yes indeed.

Wrap it well, with a cardboard or plastic duck-foot-shaped thing taped on the bottom for added stability and speedier and more proper healing.

Keep him from rest of flock for two weeks, anyway (he'll love that!!

); or one, if you can't stand it.

Try to make it so that his foot cant get wet by swimming in water bowl etc.

IF NOTHING ELSE, ISOLATE HIM ASAP AND LET NATURE DO THE REST.

good luck
