Can Chickens eat Shrimp Shells / Tails?

I was at Texas Roadhouse and we kept those shrimp tails since they look like large winged bugs and let me tell you my Hen swallowed the whole thing in a gulp I hope she survives. LOL

They have iodine in them it makes them turn pink....some birds turn pink... ibis and flamingos...hopefully not my chickens....lol

Shrimp turn pink when you cook them and it has noting to do with Iodine...
Flamingos and the Scarlet Ibis (the sacred ibis are black and white) turn Pink do to there food containing high amounts of alpha and beta carotenoid.. The more alpha and beta carotenoid in the Flamingos and Scarlet Ibis's diet the pinker/reder they are.

I knew something turned them pink...lol...thanx for the details my grandmother always said it was the iodine in the shells of crustaceans....

Mine love shrimp bits....they look like huge bugs. Well, they are related to bugs.
I don't chop anything up...they have fun picking and tearing them and other foods apart. It is their entertainment sometimes!
