I have been putting bands on the boys for culling.
Not sure of size
they come in 5,6,7,8, so on
I bought the next to the smalliest.
I have A&M they are now 8 weeks old and still have them on.
Are bottons smaller than A&M?

You can get legs bands from the nfss

Button Quail need XB. Button quail are so low to the ground you need to be careful of bandind. Flight cage birds do good banded because they don't have as much chance of debris getting caught but buttons can get debris caught easily and cause infections if not removed.

owing quail is new to me. Dad hunted them and I ate them.
I just processed my 1st quail, eating them tonight.
I've never seen Buttons
they sound cute, Now I think I ask a dumb question.

Thanks everyone, i'm still fairly new to having button quails so there will probably be alot of simple question coming from me, esspecially since ive already got 4 x 1 week old babies hatched by my female. So darn cute!! i knew they were gonna be small but Oh my Gosh, they are TINY!

I just put a little mark on their heads with a perm. marker. A different color per cage. So when I let them out of their cage to run around I know whose who. lol If they are too dark I put a little dot on their leg. It works for me, but I might check the bands out.
