SpeckledHen, I keep avoiding your question intentionally. Only 2 of the eggs began to develop and after anout 10 days they stopped. I don't know if it is the combination of the cold weather, my post office and this old house with its fluntuating temps and humidity but something is working against me in a big big way. I am resolved to try one more batch of eggs in late spring. After that I don't know if I will try again or not.

SugarlandChickenMan - I am posting the recipe today at some point!

Farmerkitty - I have used blue coat and stop pick on them and they are doing well. The worse hen was just torn to pieces through the back of her neck. It was aweful. I know in the heat of summer she would not have lasted long without a severe infection setting in. She is spunky and fine now.
