I'm in trouble

I like your logic but, now I'll be able to check out the pic heavy and video stuff too! Oh I wish they had it hooked up already!

Actually we've been without any internet since Tuesday. It would connect and immediately disconnect or not connect at all! I finally convinced the SO to call Alltel this morning. The first two times he called he talked to someone in India that barely spoke english and wanted to blame it on our puter...despite the fact that neither computer could connect.

I called the third time and asked to speak to someone in repair that spoke ENGLISH. Miracle of miracles that worked! They not only put in a repair ticket on our phone line, but promised to check yet again on whether DSL is getting any closer to us out here in the boondocks. I would be happy with a dial up connection of 56K, versus the 26.4K we get now.
Five minutes after I finally got off the phone with them I went and checked something....the kitchen phone was malfunctioning and that's why we couldn't get online....opps!

gritstar, I've been there. It was our barn phone causing the problem. I'm amazed that we can get the DSL because we are usually the last to get the upgrades and I know of others who wanted to get the DSL and couldn't. It took a couple of years for us to even be able to get caller ID.

We have a dairy farm and I get to spend hours out in the barn with chores and milking. Which means that's where I'm at when most people are getting off work and calling. It also helps when you have a problem with one of the cows to have the phone handy. I have had times I'm working with a cow and have the phone between my ear and shoulder calling the vet.
