I've found some button quails for sale near me for $2 each.
Is this a good deal?
They have several colors,including blue slate/grays and splashes (which is what I want)
I know nothing about them, so whats the basics to keeping them.
What size cage?
What do I need for them?
Can they be housed outside?(all the sites I found have them inside the house)
What do they eat?

I was getting 6.50 including shipping for a dozen.
For .25 an egg I will gladly start my laying under lights again.

Mine are mostly in pairs, but you can keep them in trios.
I dont have an avairy so all of my pairs have their own cage set ups.
 
I build my own... all diffrent sizes and designs, its just trial and error for me. my minimum cage size for a pair is: 23inches long, 18inches wide, 15 inches tall.
Some people keep them in large fishtanks, or those plastic storage tubs, it just depends on what suits your needs i guess.
