sounds like if you want ducks they'd have to be inside ducks. i have 2 inside scovies. lots of work, but i love them too much for words. i lay sheets on my bedroom floor. my broody hen is layin on eggs in a nesting box i made for her under my desk. it can work if you want them at much as you seem you do!!!
 
Only if you can build a very sturdy, predator proof coop would I attempt to get any type of fowl. I have coon too but my birds are safe because of all the precautions I have taken. Crocs? I don't know what kind of prevention to take with that. I'm sure there is literature on it. Good luck
 
That croc. is cool!! I agree, make an enclosure for the ducks and get a kiddie pool. This reminds me of some friends of a friend who had a Mt. Lion living under their porch.

Exactly. I have a predator proof night pen and a run with netting. Hawks and owls are my biggest problems.

Start buying the lumber and hardware cloth as money allows. Over time you will have plenty of materials to build a nice enclosure. Put a bench inside for you and make it a nice place to go relax
