Most of you are lucky to get away with 2-12k. Here in Mass you need to pass title 5 inspection before you can sell your house or when you replace your leech field. Generly NO house I have heard of has passed without 25-35k worth of septic work.
This is an unfair burden placed upon the rural homeowner. The sewer hitch ups in my town were subsidized by the clean water act(my tax dollars), why should I have to accept the full cost of my septic system repair. BTW there is no grandfather clause for houses built/sold before the act wass passed.
