DE for human consumption?

Have any of you ever tried DE for human consumption? I have been researching and studying up on the different types of DE.....

Anyone had any experiences with this?

Unless you need a gentle abrasive for brushing your teeth DE isn't going to do much for you taken internally.

I did a ton of research and found only good things about food grade DE for human consumption. I am giving it a try right now.
Have used it on my cats/dogs and chickens for a while and its great!

are you trying the same stuff we give our chickens and dogs or did you order some other variety?

I have the same thing. Food grade DE.
Starting out with 1/2 a tsp then doubling it weekly til I reach a tablespoon.

I have been taking on teaspoon in yogurt every morning for a week. I bought a new bag from the feed store and sealed it in jars immediatly after opening it. It looks like dirt and it tastes like dirt but I feel better already and I am sleeping at night. I take it first thing in the morning once a day. I only recently discovered that it has extra calcium in it that my body does not need. I was looking for some without the calcium when I accidently ran across this product for human consumption. I was already sold before I found this but if this is the same price and without the extra clay/calcium and possibly less dirt tasting, then I am going to try it. After all the research I have now learned that I need to be careful not to sprinkle it on the flowers because it will kill honey bees. As soon as the rain stops I plan on sprinkling my garden and any ant piles and I am now going to be more consistant with adding it to my dogs diet along with my chickens. It is totally natural and God made it.... it comes from the earth.

My hope is that I will be able to be a healthier person. One of my children has been diagnosed with Chrones and from what I am reading it can even help with that and chronic diarhea. I am allowing myself to be the guinea pig before I give it to a child of mine, I need to do some more studying, even though my baby is 28 years old, you never stop being a mom.
