I heard farmers used to keep them in case of a predator attack, the goat would "faint" and become easy prey - allowing the farmers more expensive livestock to escape.
 
Yes Fainters are a breed of their own. Ours is kinda a dud she does not faint much, maybe she is just too spoiled and has nothing to stress over! lol The boys love the bike but have only got to ride it once because of the weather, so I'm sure once spring comes there will be a path around the yard.
