[img][/img]http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/47243_100_6970.jpg This is our nest area. We used buckets from Lowes and built a frame to hold 9 buckets. Works just great for our space.

Here are mine one is a shipping crate I cut out. The other is a dry sink. With the dry sink they roost on top of it at night.I had to put boards across the front to keep the pine shavings in. http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/60141_dscf0629.jpghttp://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/60141_dscf0622.jpg

Pontoosuc, those are great!  My mother used something very similar to yours but the wood was much thinner and they were wrapped with wire.  I currently have 5 of these from mom and plan to use them in my new coop that will be built by April for my newest flock to use.  Pics will be up tomorrow!

I love the wine crates!! love

Do places that sell wine give those away? I wonder if I could go to a liquor store and ask for some. How did you get yours?

Blessed with a great husband, 5 great kids, Lily the Black and Tan Coonhound, Bartleby the black Pug, Sulley the baby Great Pyreness, plus chickens, guineas, and Coturnix quail.

I love it. How long did it take you to weave that roof?

around here you buy them like that, ready made! They even have double stories and luxury units that are more spacious! But my girls like the cozy ones.

What do you call a rooster who wakes you up at the same time every morning ?
