Mealworms For Quails ...ok?

I being reading about mealworms and I was wondering if you guys use them to feed the quails
and if they really make a diference in their diet and produccion.

Couldnt Tell Ya Which 1's Would Be Best... But I Can Tell You This, Never Ever Ever Feed Meal Worms To Anything But Adult Birds--- Especially If Your Feeding Them To New World Quail Speces As You Will Teach Them Or Rather Bring Out Their Ugly Agressive Traits With Each Other--- Agression Is A Nasty Behavior All New World Quail Babies Readily Exhibit And Feeding Them Mealies Makes It 1000x's Worse As Young Birds Have Trouble Distinguishing A Mealie From His Buddy Morty's Toes... Make For Much Bad Juju...

THE ONLY THINGS THE ABSOLUTELY NEED ARE A WELL BALANCED AND FORMULATED GAMEBIRD FEED AND CLEAN FRESH WATER, ANYTHING ELSE IS PURELY SUPPLIMENTAL AND NOT NECESSARY. NOW IF YOU WISH TO SPOIL YOUR BIRDS THATS FINE IN MODERATION

I have a few hens that like picking at an apple once I get done with it they seem to do all right with apples

and oranges, and small ammounts of cabbage, and scrambled eggs, and slices of bread.

Mine are fat and spoiled.

Insects, grubs, worms, etc are part of a wild quail diet. So are seeds. While I always offer high protein game bird feed I see nothing wrong with feeding items to quail they would naturally eat in the wild given the opportunity.
