hatching geese eggs

ok well found some geese eggs for sale 1.00 each locally. 10 mins from my house. only problem is they are uneducated about hatching eggs.

eggs were washed
1-8 days old
stored pointy end up
some were in the fridge and basement. dont know which ones which

i got 12 eggs total

i tryed to explain but it went in one ear out the other. it was a 70 year old asian woman with a thick accent. she was also busy boiling maple syrup.

back to the eggs are these eggs going to hatch?  i am putting all 12 in the incubator in hopes of getting at least 2 goslings.  anyone else had an experience like this?

Well there is only one way to tell.
Throw them into the incubator and see what happens.
Remember to increase the humidity by 10%, because they have been washed.
Good luck.

i only put 11 in. one was a bit smaller so we are going to eat it. lol rest are all very good size.

i'm using an LG. everyone  keeps talking about goose egggs not fitting in an lg and being to close to the element.

THEY FIT PERFECT.  I CAN DO SIX ACROSS AND 4 ROWS  24 total if you wanted to you might be able to do 26 if you want to max out the bator.

my jumbo runner eggs are 3 inches from element, and the goose egg 21/2 inches from  element.  i worried over nothing they fit! so so happy.

frow

I'm on day 7 with 5 Sebastopol eggs in. This is my first time hatching goose eggs.  This is actually my second batch, first batch were not fertile, seller very generously replace them all at no cost. smile   I did sneak a candling in on day 5 and saw 3 with veining. ya

Do you mind if I follow along with you?

Thanks  smile

Yes I am hand turning.  I have a Dickey, they are in the hatching tray on the bottom. I started misting them on day 5, 1x a day.

Of course researching here I am getting mixed signals on what to do, mist or not to mist, turner or hand turn etc... ???

I am following the seller advice...  hoping for the best!  fl
