Thanks for the update on this older thread. I was looking for info on using the still air hova-bator or the LG for hatching and had the same concern everyone else had. I was wondering if a person could wrap some wire around the element to preventing the chicks from directly touching it. Haven't actually seen one in person so I don't know if that would work at all. A question I had was the difference in height between the two. In pictures it looks like the hova-bator might be a little taller inside. Anybody own both and know this?
