My Black Copper Marans hen occasionally lays an egg with a "divot" in it. Has anyone else experienced this type of flaw? Can anyone tell me what the problem is? They have free-choice oyster shell, so I don't think that's the problem...
The spot is soft, like the shell disintegrated and is stuck to the membrane underneath.
