These eggs will be from my small flock of Auburn Javas. They orginated from Garfield Farm Museum genetics via Lyle Behl. The roosters have bright red colors as you can see from the photos. My hens are one of two patterns- buff with black spangling or black with gold spangling. They lay a medium sized brown egg. Overall, my Auburn roosters are slightly smaller than the Blacks or Whites, but the hens are about the same size for all colors. Javas are a multipurpose breed that love to self feed outdoors- you hardly ever find them in the coop except to lay eggs.

I plan to ship these eggs out on Sat. May 7, 2011 via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Fertility is good here at home, but I can't guarantee hatching because of handling by the USPS. Shipping on Sat usually gets the eggs to you by Tuesday-except for maybe the East/West coast (I'm in IL).

I keep finding new colors too- and keep telling myself no more birds! I donated eggs from all of my Javas to the ALBC (American Livestock Breeds Conservancy) two weeks ago so now I can spread more Javas around!

Yeah, It's hard when they really need the help and so pretty.
What is the egg size like for them?
Med like most have gotten to be or Lg like is called for in the older books?
I got the Partridge Wyandotte LF to help them out and the JG's & Wishard Bronze ,Blue Slate,Narragansett ,Tiger Black Wing Bronze Turkeys . (1st keeping others well I can only pick one more so trying them out to see what I like best.)
Hubby has the BLRW and for fun OEL,EE,Am. He wants SLW.
looks like if I get these that I will have to let something else go..

So what happens if the Reserve price is not met? I did not get to see wha happen with the BLR Cochins?
I like my Blue Wyandotte's but they might be on their way out for these! I have had a weak spot for them since I saw them the first time.
If the Reserve price is not met on this one I still would like to get some from you.
Do you happen to ship chicks???

The auburns lay a medium brown egg like my other Javas. Not as big as a RIR or Brahma. I do find the Javas to be a more reliable layer in the winter (mainly my blacks) compared to Brahmas. Second behind my production RIR, but I don't expect the Javas to do that well!

Thanks! Totally missed that last night:oops:
Well gives a person something to work on.
Like I said above if for some reason I get out bid on here (due to that pesty thing called work) I would still love to buy some from you.
Like I said before I have been wanting these for a long time.
Thanks for all the info and for the replies,
Tonya
