chick farts is that normal ?

i have six chicks one named nugget farts whenever i take her out of the brooder
strange ! is this normal ? shes fine otherwise shes one week old .

When I first got my Silkies they had some pretty gaseous poos.  I think it all came from the stress of being shipped and the new food.  But today, one of my EE roos had a farty poo...gig  and he is 6 wks old.

Yes, both chickens AND chicks experience flatulence. 

And it's nowhere near as bad as either one of my miniature dachshunds!

Buncha Outdoor PET chickens, ducks, 5 Toulouse geese, and 7 turkeys....so far. Plus 2 wiener dogs, 2 bunnies, a rescue cat which owns me and a new kitten. Oh, yeah: and a house silkie....

Wife to 1 wonderful Hubby, Mom to 3 grown children(ds 22,dd 19,dstepd 19, mommy to 2 dogs Layla the Boxer and Dusty the Shih Tzu, ok to many chickens now to count i think last count was 46 w/eggs in bator

My Silkie sharted and while I thought it was hilarious, I wasn't sure if it was ok. Apparently it's fine! gig

I too have had experiences with gaseous chickens. I adopted a silkie hen whom I named Walter (after the children's book series, Walter the Farting Dog) because of her...ah...proficiency for playing the butt tuba.
