Anyone near the springs have a Welsh Harlequin drake they need to get rid of? My girls need a new boyfriend :D

I am in Fountain. We used to live in Springs Ranch and moved to a little farm 3 years ago. I never even thought about keeping chickens in the city, but then again it was most likely against the HOA. Everything was against the HOA and some guy who thought he was "the enforcer" moved in across the street which is a Big reason we decided it was time to move.

Have an "urban farm" (a tenth of an acre of poultry and produce) in Deerfield Hills, near Astrozon and Jetwing.  Lost a hen to an unknown invader last week, so now have just seven chickens of assorted breeds and a pair of African Geese.

Am putting a dozen of our own eggs into the 'bator this afternoon, more as a test run to get ready for spring than anything, but am anxious to see that a friend's visiting BC Marans roo can produce.

OMG - have a friend just over the hill west (in Old Farm) that's waiting for me to hatch some chicks for her to keep in her back yard.  Wow, the coops ARE everywhere, and getting more popular by the day!

Colorado Springs has some very reasonable chicken rules. And the county is no problem. But Fountain! SHEESSHH!!! It's a freaking farming community and they like to pretend they aren't.

Hi, I'm new here on BYC and while I know this is an older thread, I'm hoping someone will know.  I'm looking to relocate to C Springs area sometime and I'd like to know specifically of what areas are rooster-friendly.  Thanks!! smile.png
